Post Graduate for Army Education Corps
Applications have been invited from married/unmarried male Post Graduates in different subjects, for the course commencing in July 2015 at Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, Uttarakhand, leading to the grant of Permanent Commission in the Army Education Corps.
Applicant must generally be a citizen of India (relaxations are given in the Notification) and should be of 23 to 27 years of age, at the time of commencement of course (should have been born between 2nd July, 1988 and 1st July 1992 (both dates inclusive)).
Applicant should have passed PostGraduate Degree in one of the following subjectsin 1stor 2nddivision.
(i)MA in English/Economics/History/ Geography/Political Science/ Philosophy/Psychology/ Sociology/Public Administration/Statistics/ International Relation/International Studies(10 vacancies)
(ii)M.Sc in Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Botany/Geology/Nano Science/Electronics; M.Com/MCA/MBA (6 vacancies)
(iii)Foreign language (MA in Chinese/Tibetan/Burmese/ Pushto/ Dari & Arabic (4 vacancies)
These vacancies are tentative and may be changed depending on availabilityof training lots.

Selected candidates will be granted Short ServiceCommission on probation in the rank of Lt from the date of commencement of thecourse or the date of reporting at IMA, whichever is later and will be entitled to full payand allowances admissible to Lt, during training period. Pay & allowances will bepaid after successful completion of training.On successful completion of training, cadets will begranted Permanent Commission in the Army in the rank of Lt.
Duration of training is one year. Selected candidates will be detailed for training at Indian Military Academy,Dehradun according to their position in the final order of merit up to the number ofvacancies available in each subject.Candidates will neither be allowed to marry during the period of training nor he beallowed to live with parents/Guardians. A candidate who marries during trainingshall be discharged and will be liable to refund all expenditure incurred on him bythe government. A candidate, who marries subsequent to the date of his application,though successful, will not be selected for training.
The entire cost of training is at Government expense. Incase the Gentlemen Cadet (GC) is withdrawn from training academy due to reasons other than Medicalground or the reasons not beyond his control, he will be liable to refund cost oftraining @ Rs. 8135/ -per week for the period of his stay at Indian Military Academy.
Candidates will be given a stipend of Rs. 21,000/-p.m. (Rs 15,600/- as pay in Pay Band plus Grade Pay of Rs. 5,400/-). On completionof training they will be commissioned in the rank of Lt and entitled to pay as admissibleto the rank.
