Staff Selection Commission conducted the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination, 2015 on 01.11.2015, 15.11.2015, 6.12.2015 & 20.12.2015 and re-exam on 23.07.2016 for recruitment to the post of Data Entry Operators and Lower Division Clerks at various centres all over the country. 30,44,455 candidates appeared in the said Examination.

F.No.3/6/2015-(P&P-II): Staff Selection Commission will hold on Sunday, the 27th December 2015, an All India Open Competitive Examination for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ ( Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted ) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’(Group ‘C’ Non-Gazetted)

Age Limit:

18-27 years as on 01.08.2015 (Candidates born not before 02-08-1988 and not later than 01-08-1997).

Educational Qualifications ( As on 01.08.2015): 

Must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent from a recognized Board or University.  Degree obtained through open Universities/Distance Education Mode needs to be recognized by Distance Education Council, IGNOU. 

Scheme of Examination: 

The examination will consist of a written examination and skill test in stenography.

Written Test:

General Intelligence & Reasoning (50 questions )

General Awareness ( 50 questions)

English Language and Comprehension (100questions) 

Stenography: 

For Stenographer Grade ‘D’ : 50 minutes ( English ) 65 minutes ( Hindi ) 

For Stenographer Grade ‘C’: 40 minutes ( English ) 55 Minutes ( Hindi )

Application fee: 

Payment of application fee is exempted for all women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Persons with disability and Ex- servicemen eligible for reservation, as per Government orders.

As Department of Posts is in the process of phasing out CRF stamps, and there may be shortage of CRF stamps, candidates are advised to apply on-line. The candidates submitting application online (computer based) should pay the fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) by means of SBI Challan or Online payment through Net banking or any credit/debit cards.

The candidates submitting application offline (paper mode) should pay the fee of Rs 100/- (Rupees one hundred only) by means of “Central Recruitment Fee Stamps (CRFS)”only.

Qualification: Graduation (Changes according to post- See Comlete Notification)

Age: 18-27 (20-27 for SI-CBI, Not exceed 26 for Static Investigator)

Commission will be holding Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2014 for recruitment to different posts for which Graduation from a recognized University is the minimum Educational Qualification. The Examination will comprise of two Tiers of Written Objective Type examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test/ Interview/Skill test, wherever applicable as per the Scheme of Examination. Posts have been placed in two groups, inter-alia, based on their Grade Pay and papers in Tier II examination/Interview. Preference for Posts, is to be indicated in the application. Candidates are requested to note that preference for Posts once exercised will be final. Request for change of preference will not be considered under any circumstance. For the post of Assistant in CSS, candidate shall have not more than three attempts unless covered by any of the exceptions notified by Government of India.

Description of Posts:
Group-B: A Central Civil post carrying the following grade pay :- s.5400, s.4800, s.4600 and s.4200 in the scale of pay of s 9300 – 34800 in the Pay Band-2.
Group-C: A Central Civil post carrying the following grade pay :- s.2800, s.2400, s.2000, s.1900 and s.1800 in the scale of pay of s.5200-20200 in the Pay Band-1.

Women candidates and candidates belonging to SC, ST, Physically Handicapped, and Ex-Servicemen eligible for reservation are exempted from paying application fee as per extant Government orders.

Assistant Sub-Inspector in CISF: The post carries pay scale of Rs.5200-20200 in PB-2 with Grade Pay of Rs.2800/- and is classified as Group „C‟.

Intelligence Officer in NCB:- The post carries pay scale of Rs.9300-34800 in Pay Band 2 with Grade Pay of Rs.4600/- and is classified as Group „B‟ Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial.
